Amazing – Pleeeeaase . . . stop! We have used this up. It used to be a superlative and now everything is AMAZING.
Have A Good One – A good one? A good one what? What are people referring to?
Definitely – Oh, definitely. Is it really absolutely for sure? Nothing is really definite. Is it?
Know What I Mean? – This, used over and over in a conversation is a person really urgent for feedback. Know what I mean?
Deliverables – Isn’t use of “deliverables” overkill? Why not just list what you’re expected to get done. The only deliverable I want to think about is my order from Amazon.
Tee It Up – Just one in a loooong line of sports analogies. Just for fun, I used it recently with two Millennials and they looked at me blankly and asked – “what do you mean?”
Traction – “We were really able to gain some traction on this.” I guess I would just prefer to stick with what I get with my all-wheel-drive.
Reach Out To – Every time I hear “reach out to” I think of “Reach Out, I’ll Be There” by The Four Tops. Such a great song! Just give someone a call or “shoot ‘em an email” J
Transparency – “The quality of easily being seen through” See-through. Whoa. How about just being open and honest?
Safe Space – Lets figure out how not to need these, then, we can eliminate use of the term.
